As I mentioned in the previous two chapters, the creature’s
subsistence, capering around, continues its own being and the human
being who is of its insignificant particle, unconsciously and as for
some consciously, caper co-directionally and in each other’s
subsistence direction. In the meanwhile, it consists of two
components of the body and the heart.
The heart would take the sweetheart’s smell in singing time
It would take us to the veil of secrecy
This mount’s whispering may take your soul and prosperously to your
inseparable friend’s world

In valuable, mellifluous Persian literature, many rich collections
on the unity of love, lover and the beloved one exist. These
magnificent treasures have always been speaking of affection,
kindness, deep and granted relationship between lover and the
beloved one. Certainly, you all have heard something about Leyli and
Majnoon, Shirin and Frahad, Vamegh and Ozra to some extent.
Our gnostic literati have composed so many odes and satirical poems
on the relationship of the creator and the creature and also on
human being’s loving relationship with his creator. Love and worship
have always been two linked terms; unfortunately we heard of these
pearls a little during school time as, of course, this lack
originates in our living environment religious perspicacity. At the
right time, we will have a brief historical exegesis about the
mentioned matter. In our daily life, we also haven’t learned
anything much about loving the creator but execution of fruitless
commandments. For this reason, we have been living deafly and
blindly and we haven’t practically heard anything about the entity
principles of subsistence.
Entity secrets will remain immature and vague
That tremendously honorable pearl will remain virgin
Everyone has alleged by wisdom motive
That principal point will remain unuttered
The lover’s inclination and efforts for uniting with the beloved one
cannot be stopped and leads in his mortality. Nature’s capering and
singing is an innate movement and principle. Therefore, it cannot be
stopped. For instance, if the orbit of the particles around the
nuclei or the movement of earth around sun or even the growth of a
seed in soil is blocked, it will be ruined, decayed and won’t be
remained. These principles have been proven scientifically. In this
universe, everything has its special responsibility. Philosophy and
expediency are necessary for any movements. Sheikh Shabestar says:
If the sun had just one state
Its beam of light would be in the same manner
If you consider no one (means God) as the source of light
There will be no difference between your brain and skin
It is simply noticed that in the loving relationship between two
people, both sides have deep interpersonal attraction in regard to
each other. They have innate tendency to each other and separating
them leads in their efforts for being with each other again. All
lovers own this kind of effort and attraction toward their beloved
ones, even they do their best for staying in love and together after
joining.
Do you ever see any lover to be fed up with this passion?

The lover was unencumbered of such a name without any meaning
But meaning like the lover is free from names
You are the sea, I am the fish, make me in a way that you would like

Show your mercy and magnanimity, I have been kept separate from you.

The just lover sees his existence and knows his subsistence in the
beloved one’s. Without the beloved one existence, the lover’s
existence is absurd. Therefore, the love unity of the lover and the
beloved one is an innate, direct relationship. It is exactly the
same as the being “I” that has been formed from the unity of body
and the soul of subsistence.
Your beauty exposed so we understood our being
Your augustness exposed so we understood our insignificancy
Oh my beloved, you are the one who he pacifies the hearts
You are the reason for our being
Love drink made your face lush
Like narcissus, you made us merry

In poems of love based on gnosticism, in which most of our gnostic
literati directed their attentions to the creator, there exist some
metaphors which have to be studied referring to their own gnostic
sources. Simple and literal interpretation is not permissible as may
lead in misunderstanding of the meanings. For such cases, there are
rich Persian sources.
The sottish eye of friend became drunk and we are stunned

No more tumult of passions from the drink but we have it

Deep, beautiful gnostic view of our gnostic literati toward
subsistence has been said by Persian prose which is a demanding one.
This affair has always been considered as an extraordinary
capability of literature in non-Iranian researchers’
interpretations. In gnostic literati’s views, the subsistence’s
capering is nothing but the creatures’ efforts achieving ideal and
the beloved one. A grateful gnostic one sees one’s ideal in
achieving the beloved one and joining the holy soul who has been the
origin of the gnostic one himself. The result is extirpation of that
gnostic one’s “I”. Any gnostic one is trying to appreciate the
beloved one in a way, which causes him to be approached the
threshold of his beloved one momentarily. The gnostic one doesn’t
think through his own mind and he even knows wisdom and logic as a
barrier on the way to the beloved one. His entity is love all over;
and there is no explanation for love except love.
On the way of joining you the same as loving you, I’m in roaring
fire oh, flower
He doesn’t fall in love to understand my sufferings
With wisdom stream, love doesn’t flow
Poor me who is made up of fire and water
Last night, I had my head on the delicate pillow of attainment and
again
It is morning and the tears flood has washed my pillow with blood
No butterfly’s complaint of candle’s cruelty
I’ve got this burning desire for you all my life but still a
pleasure

The rich Persian culture with its historical precedence has always
been capable of informing of gnostic worlds. Some gnostic ones’
poems, which consist of dialectic treasures on entity and step by
step movement of subsistence discussions, have been translated into
other languages. In some cases, it is recommended to learn Persian
language well in order to understand the concept as word beauty
along with rhythm is in a way that non-Persian languages are not
capable of bringing the same equivalence. It could be said that, for
better understanding, even Persian spoken people have simpler
interpretations, which will be mentioned later, on many poems.
Existence of non-Persian words in Persian language along with
sinking into oblivion of many words with deep meaning has made the
understanding of ancient context completely difficult.
He who is awake is into deeper sleep
His wakefulness is worse than his sleep
As our soul is not awake (enlightened) rightfully
Wakefulness is under fetters of us

In any school, the relationship between the lover and the beloved
one is direct and there is no factor between them. This is the
greatly important principle in gnostics. The lover is in direct
relationship with his beloved one. This is exactly the same as the
unity of the creator and the creature, in which exists no stranger.
Between the lover and the beloved one, there is no opaque
You yourself are your own veil (opaque to truth);
Hafez, rise like a phoenix from the ashes

Anything or anyone in the middle of this kind of relationship ends
in abolition of these three principles (love, the lover and the
beloved one). Therefore, in this affair, commands and opportunists
of schools and ideas have no respectful position. Every single
things here in this relationship may lead in the abolition of these
three principles (love, the lover and the beloved one). So many
tribes have been misled into depravity and burned in the hell of
disinterestedness according to historical stories of historians.
Of course, trainers are needed for any infants to be taught. After
that, this is up to him to go where and certainly he would have
necessary consultations. There will be only consultations but no
duty and religious authority. I don’t like to mention the religious
crimes which misled humans over their God, which all have been done
to achieve any power positions or to have some roles for themselves
in the lover and the beloved one’s relationship. But all have been
condemned to destruction and will be. As historical instances, we
could say, middle ages in Europe and the crimes against science and
mankind and also misleading of so many people over loving the
creator from many ignoramus Asian governments. Therefore, between
the lover who is the creature and the beloved one who is the
creator, there is no space for any other one to find.
Our mortification lead was your love oh, thou
May forbearance you got, no endurance we got
You may conceal the fact the same as me having one thousand
companions

What is the lover called?
Anyone who asked for anything, anyone with his own situations, any
creature that may reposes with any sound, any bird and anyone who
says only him, and …
Utter the words which may give you the joy of approaching your
beloved one. By studying and researching our neighboring creatures,
we understand that any terpsichorean capers in some ways and any
musical notes have its own especial effect on the lover’s heart
approaching the beloved one. Sa’di alleged:
Nothing can stop losing your heart for the
friend
Bearing and bowing down in worship are its cure
You may leave the ruby flower
Or you may get along with the pain of the thorn
or Nezami alleged:
Or:
Oh,love come that I can’t tolerate any more
No more patience and waiting I can have
I am the love maniac who is in blight of love
Heart will not foretell and on no more logic my wisdom works
If my aspiration is calling you and if your hope is out-driving me
Do it on your own way as I have no power
Having the pain of love is enough of us
Hugging and kissing are not our aim of joining you
Oh heart, always be enamored and be unconscious
He who is not unconscious of love is not conscious
Accompany love and turn away the face from wisdom
As knowledgeable ones put no confidence to it
Any one has his own way, path and kiblah
In Obeid’s presence, there is no Kiblah but friend’s lane
