We knew that the existence of entity includes material and soul
while being in direct, independent unity with its own creator. We,
also, knew that there is not any cover, fence or intermediary. This
is he, we and no one else. In addition, we knew that the whole
existence of the being, which we are a part of, is travelling toward
ideal in such a relationship while praising. There is no other goal
but reaching the absolute ideal, which is the Almighty, in this
ideal fashion. Everyone is worshiping the right surrounded by an
organized and efficient power and is resigned to the will of god.
Any faction and being in any way known in one’s own loving search of
the beloved are perplexed and distressed until reaching for him.
As it was mentioned, any being and any heart would call one’s
beloved one anything and the joy of approaching and absorption of
access would lead in increasing understanding and knowing.
Our desert has no coast
No rest do our heart and soul have
The world appeared in the world of engraving
Which of these engravings is ours?
As you see a head cut off on the way
Rolling toward our arena
Ask it ask it our secrets
You may hear it revealing our hidden secret
Moulavi
Our awareness of the creator existence, in reality, seems to be our
gnostic identity. Knowing oneself and understanding one’s own being
and actually knowing this real “I” are required for these very
identity and gnostics. The magnificent gnostic ones say that:
Knowing oneself is the first principle of knowing God or
know yourself to know your God
As you don’t try to know yourself you won’t know your God.
Therefore, knowing oneself or this “I”
is a very important principle and there is no way for knowing
Almighty but knowing oneself in gnostics.
The gnostic one is not someone but the one who has completed two
identities: oneself and God. This is exactly like that isolated reed
(flute) which knows about the origin and holds fascination for
returning to. So many of great gnostic ones have chosen the reed for
a gnostic man and had about it in their poems.
It is seen repeatedly in the Moulavi’s couplet poems (Mathnavi).
Moulavi’s gnostics which is one the greatest gnostic literature left
hitherto, have so many followers over the world. He has started his
couplet poems (Mathnavi), which is a treasure of so many valuable
gnostics and good manners, by a memory of reed (flute):
Listen, if this reed (flute) narrates
It will complain about partings
As they have parted me from the origin
Both man and woman have groaned in my sound
There should be one with heart sliced from the pain of being apart
To tell the story of pain of fascination
He who was apart from his origin
Is again in search of his own union days
Mathnavi
Gnostics don’t relate to any special group or faction. All over the
world, there exists many people who have the same gnostic feeling
and emotions and are worshiping and praising their creator day and
nights. However, Persian literature is one of the richest gnostic
sources in the world and, practically, world-knowing Moulavi’s
gnostics has led in more recognition of Persian literature all over
the world. For understanding Moulavi’s gnostic applicability, many
non-Persian language gnostic ones has started learning Persian
language and declared that Persian is magnificent.
Gnostics are nothing except identity and understanding the entity.
Their basic principles end in self-identity and in the end
God-identity. This humble servant doesn’t know any simpler form of
saying; if you are really interested in these matters, please refer
to different rich Persian references. Your reviewing of these
references in all likelihood will lead in expanded self-identity and
deeper look at gnostics.
There have been so many differences among gnostic ones and still
exist. For instance, in Moulavi’s gnostics, there are special
manifestations which are in other fashion in Attar’s gnostics.
Understanding these details depends on studying and follow-ups which
won’t be discussed in here.
There have been so many gnostic ones who remained silent all over
their lives in history and no one knew them at all. We could say
about gnostics and the mentioned gnostic ones that we know just very
few ones for the reason of their influences on the kingdom of those
days. For this reason their names patented in history and later,
their books published, many people had them and translated into
other languages. Unfortunately in our sessions, we had about the
literature and the literary capabilities of the gnostic ones rather
than their gnostics. We have always known Saadi, Hafez, Attar,
Moulavi, Khaghani, Jami … as poets rather than the great gnostic
ones who were teaching religion principles in different science
schools in their days. The only fault is that of rejecting
intercession (as an intermediary) in the loving and tenets-religious
relationship between the creator and the creature by gnostics.
Gnostics know that as a petrifaction and more of atheism. This way
of thought, contrary to preceptism’s viewpoints which refer more to
details and claim that there are no suitable generalities has no
sign of imitation, person-center consideration and superstition.
Gnostic ones believe in love spoiling when personal intervention and
being intermediary occur. This is true in history and the lovers’
school turned into the disasters of ignorance and non-humanitarian
purposes. Many of us are a simple example of these very oppression
and moral decline.
As the goal is expressing some words about love and gnostics, there
will be no more complexity. We welcome love and worship by taking a
simple look at soul and the inside. You should work on and
controlling your concupiscence by expending some time on your
lonesome with your God and you should schedule your life in a way
that there will be less performing the strict, meaningless and
stupid rules, laws and orders and more direct contact with your own
creator on your lonesome instead every time out. As we know that the
lover wouldn’t get the beloved one’s attention without enough effort
and endeavor.
Clear your soul to get pure
Abnegate your temptations to find God
The door of truths and courtesy treasure is locked
You may find the key by extirpation
Be aware that by limited wisdom and philosophy
You may not find the absolute ideal of the cosmos any where
Insight knowledge’s appearance is wakefulness in ignorance’s dream
Find your own innate to be pure
Evolution may be gotten from toiling
This is not the thing that you may find by reasoning and justifying
You may stay unaware at the door of the secret of the destiny
In the end, you may get your way into the will boundaries
Deep in the well, you may see the star and the moon
If you accept this extirpation, you will live in eternity and
continuance

The reason that we can’t understand the true and deep concept of
gnostic poems is that of not knowing its most important motivation.
The way of thought and knowledge of the poet are very important and
have a significant role in poets. As a result, after finishing a
love poem, if don’t understand the concept of the article, there
will be no joy! In addition there will be nothing else except
fatigue for our sole, actually the main part called “I”.
The gnostic ones used to worship God by these poems. They used to
read or song them with a pleasant voice and praise the Almighty by
smooth and balanced body movements. They used to enjoy reading or
singing these love songs in such a way that they would have wanton
(uncontrolled) body movements resulting a kind of dance which is
called capering (Sama’) in gnostics. Some of the gnostic ones used
to have themselves in their beloved one’s threshold and have their
soles flown away that they couldn’t feel the presence of space-time.
Here is an example of those harmonic songs; if it is sung
rhythmically and is accompanied by tambourine, how can one stand
still and impassive? It depends on the understanding the concept
though. In addition, singing the song for worshiping and praising
God is needed.
I am the friend, I am the cave, I have got a great pain for
love
Your are the companion, you are the cave, save me please the man of
distinction
You are Noah, you are the spirit, and you are the conqueror and the
conquered.
You are the sliced heart; you are the door of my secrets
You are the light, your are the celebration, you are the successful
wealth
You are the bird of Mount Sinai
I am the tired one at your bill
You are the drop, you are the sea, you are the favor, and you are
the wrath
You are the story, you are the poison, don’t bother me more than
this please.
You are the chamber of the sun, you are the home Venus
You are the sermon of hope; please let me in my friend
You are the day, you are the fast, and you are the result of the
beggar
You are the water, you are the jug, please give me some water this
time
You are the seed, you are the trap, you are the liquor, and you are
the cup
You are the experienced, you are the naïve, don’t leave me
inexperienced
If this body lets, I could bear more than this
You are the light (way), as you don’t expose yourself to me, I talk

Moulavi
Certainly, this is not the case we have been learning up to now.
Crying, wailing, unnecessary hitting on one’s own head and … are the
horses of another color. These divine, magnificent rhythms with
highly filled concepts for the reason of approaching the beloved one
(God) are something else. You, yourself could see the difference!
Love is the only factor and the only beautiful track to the beloved
one, no way. The preceptism’s vain claim doesn’t have any basics and
principles and no result except hell, anger and war. There have been
so many people claiming that they can familiarize others with God
but a reverse result in the end.
Many called themselves as leaders like prophets
They thought they were like the pious
Their reasoning was that they were humans and we are
They used to sleep and eat and we do too
Two species of bees may eat from the same place
But one has got sting, the other honey
Two plants may be watered from one place
But inside one of them is empty such as reed but the other one may
produce sugar.
Moulavi
So many centuries, humans have been in wrong way as the result of
some leaders’ wrong claiming and there was no result except hating
love and without love occasions.
If you are a human by face not inside
Ahmad and Abujahl are the same to you
Therefore, it is recommended that we know ourselves intelligently
and see the magnificent light to the creator. It should be our light
to live happily in the heaven of love to God, under no
non-humanitarian and material fetters and chains which have been
injected for many centuries to societies.
Sell the donkey’s ears you’ve got
As those ones wouldn’t understand the truth
Anyone who concludes a contract with one’s own creator and asks for
help, will be helped and will reach the peaceful, loving life of
worshiping God.
Get straight like arrow and get off the bow
Certainly, any straight arrow can leave the bow
Breaking enemy lines is easy for a lion-like manner
He who is a lion that breaks his concupiscence
Know that you are the center of your own life and your creator has
placed the potential capabilities on you. This is your
responsibility to bring them into action and expose them and truly
enjoy being a human and set yourself free from the cage of
superstitions and blind imitations.
The bird is in the cage
Its singing is for eluding its ignorance
There are so many souls that have escaped from cages
Those are the great leaders
Generally, our gnostic schools are divided into three principles:
religion, rule of life, reality. Before describing these three
important issues, it is necessary to explain about capering (Sama’)
which has been mentioned off and on.
Capering (Sama’) is the relaxation of life
The one knows who has the real pure soul
Capering needs someone who is awake
That itself is sleeping in the garden
But if that one who is sleeping in his boundaries
Wakes up, May get disadvantages
Do capering there where there is wedding
Not in the place where there is sadness
Not by someone who doesn’t know his innate
Not by someone who hasn’t got moon in the eyes
What are capering and tambourine up to him?
Capering is for union of the beloved ones
The ones who face kiblah
Capering is the difference between this world and the other
Especially, the ones who are within capering
They are circling and kiblah is in the middle
